NGFAC (Next Generation Fashion & Arts Council) is a selective youth leadership initiative within Building A Better You designed to cultivate confidence, leadership, and identity in teen girls through intentional self-expression.
NGFAC is not about fashion trends. It is about preparation—helping girls learn how to show up with confidence in different spaces, make thoughtful choices, and lead with presence. Through guided experiences, mentorship, and real-world exposure, participants develop the skills and self-awareness needed to navigate school, community, and future opportunities with clarity and purpose.
The mission of the Next Generation Fashion & Arts Council (NGFAC) is to prepare teen girls to lead with confidence, clarity, and purpose through intentional self-expression, mentorship, and real-world exposure. NGFAC equips participants with the skills needed to navigate academic, social, and professional environments with presence and self-awareness.
NGFAC is not a traditional fashion program. It is a leadership pathway that uses style, image, and decision-making as tools for identity development. Participants engage in guided experiences that encourage thoughtful choices, personal responsibility, and confident self-presentation across different spaces.
Through mentorship, experiential learning, and exposure to leadership environments, NGFAC participants develop stronger self-confidence, communication skills, and decision-making abilities. The program supports girls in showing up with intention and leading with integrity in school, community, and future opportunities.
Building A Better You programs are designed as a developmental pathway. Girls begin through pop-up experiences that introduce personal growth, confidence, and self-awareness in a supportive environment.
Participants then engage in our core personal development programs—All About Me, My Body Is Important, My Choice, and Fashion My Way—which build identity, decision-making, responsibility, and self-expression.
Completion of these programs prepares participants for consideration into the Next Generation Fashion & Arts Council (NGFAC)—a selective, invitation-based leadership experience. NGFAC represents the culmination of growth and readiness, offering mentorship, leadership exposure, honors showcases, and scholarship opportunities that support academic and career advancement.

Council members refine their leadership identity and personal voice, serving as ambassadors of the organization while developing confidence in public speaking, representation, and communication across professional and public settings.

Council members engage in strategic thinking, collaborative leadership, and responsible decision-making by leading community projects, organizing service and volunteer cohorts, and contributing meaningfully to organizational initiatives.

Council members engage in fashion-forward leadership, defining a new standard of beauty through intentional style, image, and presence—using fashion as a tool for confidence, identity, and influence across public and professional spaces.

Council members receive executive mentorship and immersive, real-world exposure through leadership environments that strengthen confidence, communication, and professional awareness. These experiences prepare members to navigate academic, professional, and social spaces with intention, discernment, and readiness for future opportunity.

Council members explore entrepreneurship, branding, and career pathways through direct exposure to business leaders, creatives, and professionals. Members gain insight into how ideas are developed, positioned, and presented—strengthening marketing awareness, audience engagement, and business storytelling while envisioning future pathways with confidence and direction.

NGFAC culminates in an honors showcase where council members present their growth through leadership, style, poise, and presentation. This celebratory experience recognizes achievement and readiness, providing a platform for members to confidently express identity, leadership, and excellence before educators, professionals, and community leaders.
