Decoster is the Founder and Executive Director of Building A Better You, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young ladies through confidence, leadership, and personal development. She is deeply committed to creating safe, supportive spaces where girls can grow, express themselves, and build a strong sense of identity.
Sharon is a professional model of over 30 years and has served as a talent scout and agent for models and actors. She is also a motivational speaker, entrepreneur, author, and producer, using her platform to inspire confidence and self-expression through fashion. She studied Fashion Merchandising at the American College of Applied Arts.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Organization Management and is an MBA candidate with a concentration in Commercial Real Estate. She is also a certified life coach, image consultant, mindfulness instructor, and HMC Mental Health certified, supporting her commitment to holistic youth development and wellness.

Alexis Green is a dedicated social worker and former participant of Building A Better You, having been part of the organization since the age of 12. Her personal journey through the program has shaped her passion for empowering young girls and fostering confidence, self-worth, and personal growth.
Alexis holds a Master of Social Work from North Carolina Central University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSW-A). She has experience as a School-Based Outpatient Therapist, supporting youth through mental and emotional wellness.
In addition to her clinical background, Alexis contributes to program development through her creativity, organizational skills, and ability to connect with youth and community partners. Her commitment to service, mentorship, and community engagement continues to support the mission and growth of Building A Better You.

Nisla Love is a Veteran, Military Spouse, and IRS-licensed Enrolled Agent with over a decade of experience in tax preparation and planning for individuals and small business owners. She holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Taxation and has worked across both private and government sectors for over 15 years.
Nisla is the Owner and CEO of Choose Love Solutions, an accounting firm dedicated to helping small business owners build wealth while remaining compliant with IRS regulations.
She is passionate about empowering others through education and personalized support. In her role, she also provides administrative support and organizational structure that help strengthen operations and ensure the continued growth of youth programming.

Denise Robinson is a licensed North Carolina General Contractor and majority owner of Under Construction Carolinas LLP (UCCLLP), a women-owned construction company based in Raleigh. With over 25 years of business experience, she brings strong leadership, operational insight, and a commitment to excellence across residential, multifamily, and commercial projects.
Denise holds a degree in Business Administration from William Peace University, with a minor in accounting and human resources. She has successfully passed the National Association of State Contractors Licensing exam, further demonstrating her expertise and dedication to her field.
In addition to her work in construction, Denise is a self-taught fashion seamstress, artist, and creative. She brings a unique blend of structure and creativity to her work, supporting innovation, problem-solving, and hands-on engagement within youth programming.

Dr. Derrick Sauls is a researcher, professor, consultant, mentor, and farmer with over 20 years of experience in research at Duke University. He holds a Ph.D. from North Carolina State University in the field of Nutrition.
Dr. Sauls is the founder of Agritherapy, an approach that uses farming as a form of therapeutic engagement while addressing food insecurity and overall wellness. His work integrates education, health, and community impact.
He brings valuable insight in grant writing and funding strategy, supporting the organization in strengthening its language, positioning, and opportunities for sustainable youth programming.

Kisha Jeffries is the parent of a former participant of Building A Better You, bringing both personal connection and community insight to the organization. She serves as Chief Financial Officer and founding member of Handèwa Farms and is the owner of R.O.S.A. Land LLC and Handèwa Farms LLC.
Kisha is a citizen of the Occaneechi Band of the Saponi Nation and is deeply passionate about sustainability, farming, and nutrition. She is committed to teaching the importance of the farm-to-table lifestyle, with a focus on preserving knowledge and practices passed down through generations.
As a mother and nurturer, Kisha is dedicated to educating and empowering youth and families through cultural awareness, wellness, and hands-on learning experiences.

Rick Crank is the owner of Pix By Ric Photography, based in Raleigh, North Carolina, with extensive experience in corporate events, headshots, weddings, fashion, and portrait photography. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from North Carolina A&T State University in Speech Communication and Theater Arts and has also studied at Pace University’s Lubin School of Business.
Rick has been a longtime creative partner and supporter of Building A Better You, capturing the organization’s growth and impact from the very beginning. He has photographed program makeovers, fashion experiences, and community events, helping bring each girl’s confidence and transformation to life.
His work plays a key role in the visual storytelling of the organization, especially within the fashion and self-expression components of the program.
